What's fucking wrong with our country?? I'll tell you.

* The first thing I read in the papers a few days ago is that a cop charged a guy for talking on his mobile phone while driving. Fair enough. But this guy on the phone happened to be the Governor's Aide de farking Camp. So? So, the policeman was punished and made to stand in the hot sun for three days. For doing his job.

* Our PM, who was hailed to have ushered in reforms into the country, believes now that reservation in the private sector is an idea whose time has come. "Merit can't be the sole consideration," he said. Well look who's bowing down to political pressure. Alright Mr PM, give people an incentive to not work and put in their best efforts. That will surely guarantee you your economic growth. Why can't income be the criterion for deciding who is worse off in society instead of caste as we have it now? I know an ST (scheduled tribe) who vacations every year in Europe and still avails of benefits. Now if you really wanted to help someone it would be on the basis of income. You don't need a PhD from Cambridge or Oxford to know that.

* A couple can't hold hands in public without the culture police attacking them. Valentine's Day signifies vandalism in this city. Yet, provocative dances on TV, the so called Item numbers, are rampant. There's a sick, horny desperation that oozes from this city, but no one will admit it. Sex is still taboo but somehow it's ok for people to molest strangers. The culture vultures want to influence the way adults think, but what can be said when 12-year-old boys rape a 9-year-old girl? Why doesn't anyone ever have a problem with crude vulgarity but only with things like lesbianism or homosexuality when they are expressed honestly?

* Another thing I saw in the papers was an ad for a political party. It showed a farmer hanging dead from a tree. The party claimed that more than 500 farmers committed suicide because the ruling party didn't waive off loans. Most statements from politicos and their policies don't make any economic sense. How about you f***holes tackle the real issues underlying problems like these?

The problem with this country is that it is full of farking hypocrites.
